"Hurtigrutens
Dag" is an annual event in the little coastal village of Rørvik, and was in 2011 held to celebrate more than 108 years of coastal steamer service. It is
normally held on "Hurtigruten's Birthday" which is July 2nd., but in
2011 it was held on June 18th in connection with NRK (Norwegian
Broadcasting Corportation) world record attempt at creating the world's
longest continuous live TV-show.
(And yes, NRK did make the world record for longest continuous live TV-show).
