My suitcase is old and a well travelled companion. I can’t remember how and when I got it, but it must be at least 2, if not 3 decades old already. It’s been inside the cargohold of many different airlines and have seen baggage claims on most - if not all - continents with the exception of Antarctica (no airport). I recall it was very modern with it’s whole-durable-plastic construction as well as quite expencive when bought new, but it has truly lived up, and done it’s job in purchase value. And the best thing, it still got a lot of life left in it. I don’t think there are any other items which have been with me on all my travels around the world, as much as this suitecase. This suitcase has also been one of the longest owned and most used items I have in my posession I think. This suitace is a testament to it’s quality and perhaps also the importance of buying a suitcase with some level of quality. As you can see, it's been through BIA Security Check (Bangkok Intenrational Airport) quite a few times, as well as Kloster Cruises security check and Aeroports de Paris, as the stickers still can prove. I guess it would now be bad luck to replace it with a new one.
