The mid-week why, where and what

New year and new changes, new challenges. 2017 was a great year in so many respects, but more about that in a short while as soon as my over-critically self is finished editing, and re-editing the bLOG entry (sometimes feel like I’ll never be satisfied enough to actually post the 2017 review).

As we all know, changes can happen and be made any day of the year, but it’s always a whole lot easier to promise and start doing those changes at the brake of a new year. Some of the things I have been thinking about the past three weeks are for example this bLOG and my own posting at CaptainsVoyage Forum. Tonight, I’m just 52 posts away from the 50K-posts mark, which naturally is an achievement in itself. But there will be no cake, no balloons and absolutely no fanfare. With the lack of sunshine and ice-cold days comes the annual on-set of doubts, and the feeling that there is not a sufficient active interaction or response. Perhaps the bLOG is too random and intermittent, perhaps too hard to find, or there may be other better reasons. But despite it all, it’s a good and one of the only ways for me to say what I mean and what I feel, now that I’m no longer using Facebook (I’m now on my 16th month away from Facebook).

Additionally, one thing that inspired me last year to give this another try, was that my beloved and absolutely favourite “Americana" restarted her blogging again. If she could do it - I thought perhaps I could also do it?

Therefore, my tip tonight is to support her too

So what else is going on in my life right now? Apart from working on a lot of airline-related “stuff” (for a lack of a more suitable word), I’ve also been attending a crash course in economy control, “supporting" the local cinema, doing my shifts on the fjord and a couple of extra shifts, planning trips abroad for the rest of the year, and a quick overnight-trip to no less than three Scandinavian cities. Then there are also those exercise walks, youtube watching, and C-Gull flights. Sounds like busy, right? It certainly does feel like a busy schedule, but as we live only once, I intend to make the very best of this only chance I have.

Oh yeah, I have to tell you about a video I’m making (trying to) for my youtube-channel. It’s been an astonishing 6 months in the making and even though I’ve come quite far, I can never seem to finish the video. One of my weak sides plays again a big role here: my overly meticulous nature (and the fact that I don’t like hearing my own voice on tape). My next vision is to have it ready some time this coming weekend. Fingers crossed.

Oh, and then there is this pain in my entire left arm. Now on my fourth day with intense pain, which originally started at the shoulder has moved it’s way down to the lower arm. How strange is that? Conferring with google, I found no reason for this pain moving down my arm. After another sleepless night, I eventually decided to call the doctors office this morning, but they in turn decided that it couldn’t be THAT bad, and that I should give it another couple more days before contacting them again. Ahh.. the agony of “free healthcare”! Had I still  been living in my other country, I most certainly would have been in and out of the doctor’s office already with some great pills and good answers.

In the end, remember that "everything will be alright in the end. If it’s not OK, it’s not yet the end”.

Don’t let me continue talking with myself, let me know what you think.
