The Canberra

Modern cruiseships are not what they used to be. I for example remember the British cruiseliner Canberra at anchor off Trondheim during the summers of my childhood. She was one of the biggest to visit, and even though I always thought she was old-fashioned back then, I have now come to love her beauty. In this video - it’s a great pity the clip is not in HD-quality - she shows of her magnificence and grace. What an amazing vessel she was.

Was. Because she is one of those liners “no longer” sailing. She was scrapped at Gadani ship-breaking yard, Pakistan in 1997.
