The Koningsdam less than perfect

A few days back, the relatively brand new Koningsdam of Holland America Line came to Trondheim for the second time this summer, and in fact, her entire sailing career.†While the ship more than likely is quite an amazing piece of engineering, the conditions that day to get a decent photograph was far from perfect. It was so far one of the hottest days of the year, the distance away was astoundingly great (as my luck always has it), and to make it even worse, the sightline was hampered severely by the exhaust gas escaping from the funnel of my own ship.

These photographs will therefore to me, be nothing more than images to document the ship in the Trondheimsfjord.†

If anyone has some great tips and tricks on how to combat heat-distortion on hot summer days when using super-telephotolenses, please do let me know.†
