The newly renovated spire of Nidarosdomen

I can probably safely assume that not many people have seen the newly renovated spire of Nidarosdomen Cathedral like this, in all it’s wonderful glory in this extreme close-up. This is a full scale image without any cropping, taken today, August 12th, from a distance of 665,6 meters, or in laymans terms, from the fortress at Kristiansten in Trondheim, Norway. Behind the spire as a backdrop, you can see the forest at “Bymarka” just above an area known as Møllebakken, some 3.316 meters away.
