Earlier last week, a spectacular 50 meter long yacht arrived at Trondheim. The ship’s AIS indicated that they had salied from Ålesund the previous night and according to Port of Trondheim website, they were due to stay a few days into this week. A quick search online reveales that there is a certain rumor or connection that the yacht belongs or have belonged to Sir Elton John.
Local newspaper here in Trondheim has however discovered that the yacht is listed for sale through an agent, and is on a journey from Ireland. Despite the crew’s obvious dislike with people taking pictures of their pretty boat, there is no law in Norway that prohibits shipspotters and others doing so.
